Lime Stone + Clay are the main raw material used are crushed and graded to certain size are fed to a PRE HEATER > PRE > CALCINATOR > CALCINATOR > HIGH TEMPERATURE ROTARY KILN > COOLER.
These principal raw materials are termed as KILN FEED. Additives, like Iron Ore Powder, Raw Bauxite Powder, and Gypsum Powder are also added as MILL ADDITION. This under a certain sintering temperature and time react under a high temperature to for Cement Clinker, which are cooled through the cooler and ground to fine powder to form Ordinary Port Land Cement. Similarly with change in Batch formulation Sulphurated Cement, White Cement is made.
Now-a-day cement industry also uses Thermal Fly Ash, Iron and Steel Industry Slag to manufacture Blended Slag Cement, Sorrel Cement and so on. Rotary Kiln and Rotary Cooler, Cyclone and Chutes are the area where refractory is used. Like Iron and Steel Industry Cement industry consumes various types of refractory products.
